Forever in Our Hearts

To continue the trip through my "old stuff," I'd like to share a project I made last year to commemorate my grandparents. Every time I visit them I bring along two roses; a pink for Baba and a yellow for Grandpa the Texan. I took the shot, printed it black and white on a transparency and placed it on top of newspaper clippings, which I painted pink and yellow for the flowers. Hope you enjoy!

Great picture! That's so thoughtful of you to think of your grandparents.

I can't wait to see more pictures!

Thanks for stopping by!

Really beautiful and sentimental tribute. Great use of mixed media and texture...I also loved from your archives the Alcatraz collage with lemon, and the burned Alcatraz negative. Both are full of movement and draw me in. Keep on keeping on Moo ! Miss Jo
p.s. Look for my post tomorrow about the Richard Avedon show opening @ SF's Museum of Modern Art
