Very nicely captured. I believe that this sculpture was set near the wall as an addition to the original Viet Nam memorial. There were those who felt that a slab of black granite with names inscribed was too simple and not enough of a memorial to those who fought and died in Viet Nam. Over the years, The Wall has come to be the benchmark for other memorials. Many people don't even know that the soldiers, pictured above, exist and are a part of the Viet Nam tribute.
