365/333: And the Gold Medal Goes to...
The Green Bay Packers lost on Sunday, and but that puts me in mind of a real winner. The Scholastic Scribe has been in the blogging business for almost three years; she's a high school English teacher and journalism adviser (both newspaper and yearbook) who speaks her mind, and then some.
Nominations are now open for the Edublog Awards, and I'd like to nominate Mrs. Scribe (aka, Melissa B.) in four categories:
- Best Individual Blog: The Scholastic Scribe (Mrs. Scribe came in second in this category in 2008...I think she deserves FIRST this year!)
- Best Teacher Blog: The Scholastic Scribe (Mrs. Scribe came in second in this category in 2009...she definitely deserves the blue ribbon!)
- Lifetime Achievement: The Scholastic Scribe (Mrs. Scribe has shared her insights, on education and life, with the blogosphere since March 2008. Her body of work encompasses so much that I can't think of another person who deserves this award more!)
- Most Influential Blog Post: The Scholastic Scribe (because she is a high school newspaper and yearbook adviser, Mrs. Scribe tackles controversial issues, both in the classroom and on her blog. Last spring's "soccer sex scandal" is a great example!)
Edublog Award nominations close on Friday, December 3, and voting ends on Tuesday, December 14. Just remember: A vote for Mrs. Scribe is a vote for the best!
